Your boss is THE hero!
If you want to stay employed in these turbulent times it is crucial that you make your boss look like a hero … even if he or she is incompetent, less intelligent or decades younger than you.
This is your boss, he is the hero
Imagine your boss is your customer and then treat him like gold. “This is the person who can give you raises and promotions,” says Roz Usheroff (author of Taking The Leap: How to Manage Your Career in Turbulent Times … and Beyond) . “Are you going to treat him with disdain and contempt?” Think of it as a contract between you and your boss because there is no such thing as job security anymore (see my post on YOU security). And above all, always maintain the highest level of honesty and integrity. “It’s all about fostering trust, and trust is a very fragile thing.”
If you really cannot stand your boss and are unwilling to respect what is not respectable, then there is an easy way out. Resign your job today and become the master of your own destiny. Start your own business! You will earn a lot more money, have all the power and be able to become financially independent. You will never ever have to crawl in front of your boss … unless of course your partner is your boss….. at home!
